Ultimate goal

Ultimately, all travel of crew and volunteers, artists and audience, and the transportation of suppliers and supplies (on and off-site) is:

• Reduced to a minimum, by rethinking the selection of the festival site and the site design, by smart planning of transport and logistics, by smart programming of artists and by smart selection of suppliers and crew, to limit the distances travelled and transported and with that reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses.
• Optimized to accommodate crew, volunteers, artists and audience to switch towards using more sustainable modes of transport, by encouraging the use of public transport, trains for international travel, bicycles, shared cars, etc., resulting in a reduction of GHG emissions.
• All transportation with company owned and rented vehicles on and outside the festival site (GHG Scope 1) is powered with renewable sources and is Net Zero. Also all the travel of crew and volunteers, artists and audience, and the transportation of suppliers (Scope 3) are Net Zero, which means that all unavoidable GHG emissions are compensated.
